One of our customers see a lot of these in the active VSM.
Both Primary and secondary are installed as VMs on ESXi 5.1.0 Releasebuild-799733
%PLATFORM-2-MEMORY_ALERT: Memory Status Alert : MINOR ALERT RECOVERED
%PLATFORM-2-MEMORY_ALERT: Memory Status Alert : MINOR
The timeframe between "RECOVERT" until the alarm is set again are usually just a few seconds hence the status is usually alert if one go by the logs.
Repeating the command "show system internal memory-status " also gives me the the status
"MemStatus: Minor Alert "
Passive one looks OK
From the active VSM again
vsm01# show system resources
Load average: 1 minute: 0.18 5 minutes: 0.09 15 minutes: 0.07
Processes : 287 total, 1 running
CPU states : 0.0% user, 1.0% kernel, 99.0% idle
Memory usage: 2075740K total, 1817172K used, 258568K free
104604K buffers, 1065164K cache
I'm not going to throw in the complete output from "show process mem" to start with but the total process mem allocation is
All processes: MemAlloc = 414822400
This I guess is in bytes as usual for Cisco so it only counts for 414MB och the 1,7GB used.
The system message guide for NX-OS only explination is to contact TAC.
