Hi all,
to configure EAP-MD5 in a 8961, you need to insert the Shared Secret in the IP Phone 802.1X Authentication option (link: Set EAP-MD5 Fields).
I would like to do the same, but using a 7800 Series ... as soon as I didn't find the Shared Secret option, I make some research and found this link CSCuo64932, saying that the EAP-MD5 is no longer supported.
1) Does any one knows if EAP-MD5 will no longer be supported in the future versions of ALL IP Phones or it's only a 7800 Series limitation?
2) Any idea about why it was not supported in the 7800 Series?
