Hello,
20% of our chassis have been impacted by this defect, and replacing the whole chassis is really painful...
Question #1 : if the defect is the limited to the mux-buffer module (WS-X4590-E), would it be possible to replace only this module, as described here : http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst4500/hardware/installation/guide/78-14409-08/4500inst/05trblsh.html#wp1023669 or here : http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst4500/hardware/catalyst4500e/installation/guide/Eseries/04replac.html#14055 ?
Question #2 :
it looks like WS-C4510R+E currently sold are also facing the same kind of problem with redundancy modules WS-X4590-EX (Cisco BugID CSCuq18992) - can Cisco provide a long-term solution for these two issues ?
