Hi folks,
We recently installed UCS and consultant says that when tagging a VLAN and then using it as the native VLAN fails (which I verified) because vSphere has an issue where it strips the tag but unable to recognize the traffic..."etc". So he created this "blackhole" VLAN that we should select as native VLAN (which would never be used). It does work now...
Does any of this sound familiar to anyone?
I having a hard time understanding since I was thinking that even if it stripped the VLAN tag, should still be able to communicate on native VLAN if the same. Confused... picture below.
