Recently, our Unity Connection stopped syncing with emails.
Odd, it has been working for years.
First, we reset password for the account being used. Still no worky.
Second, we realized the application certificate had expired. Regenerated Certificate, reset password again (making sure not to use any funny characters)... but still not working. (New Secret ID and Secret implemented)
(Passwords expire every 1 year, certificates every 2 years apparently)
Third, Does the account have all the permissions? Sure looks like it.
Fourth, wanted to make sure the "Application Impersonation" role was still enabled on the account.
But we get this error now...
New-ManagementRoleAssignment: |Microsoft.Exchange.Management.RbacTasks.ManagementRoleDeprecatedException|Error: deprecated; The management role "ApplicationImpersonation" is in the process of being deprecated. New role assignments referring this role aren't allowed.
Application Impersonation is being deprecated by Microsoft, and accounts can't get the assignment after May 2024.
I am not even sure I will be able to start from scratch, if I can't add Application Impersonation to a new account.
Thoughts, anybody?
