Greetings,
We have a Cisco RVS4000 working perfectly. We also have 2 spares -- one used and one new.
We ended up with a spare AC adapter from another manufacturer: it's rated at 12V and 1.5A .
The original AC adapter that came with the RVS4000 is rated at 12V 1.0A .
Will that AC adapter from another manufacturer function AOK at 12V and 1.5A ?
I've checked the DC connector, and it appears identical to the original one.
Thanks in advance for your expert advice.

I do not have an RVS400 or its adapter at hand. so cannot check physically.
but this image displays + at center just above the power adapter input

Ours has been working so superbly, it outlasted the AC adapter that came in the retail box!
(sorry for the typo)

be sure to also check polarity of the replacement adapter.
commonly this is + at center and - at ring, in many cases this can be found as a symbol on the adapter

Thanks very much.
To be sure, replacement AC adapters must be "Positive Polarity"
+ at center
Correct?
