I have an older Cisco 831 router and we are seeing the following issue:
System returned to ROM by error - a SegV exception, PC 0x80236ED0 at 09:43:29 EDT Thu Aug 6 2015 System restarted at 09:47:49 EDT Thu Aug 6 2015 System image file is "flash:c831-k9o3sy6-mz.124-1c.bin"
It seems that the issue occurs right after the Cisco 831 is given a new DHCP lease on its Internet interface (Ethernet1) from our Internet provider: %DHCP-6-ADDRESS_ASSIGN: Interface Ethernet1 assigned DHCP address 10.1.1.224, mask 255.255.252.0, hostname 831-gw1
The Cisco search bug tools suggest that I upgrade the software but is there anything that I can do from a DHCP configuration to resolve this?
