Cisco RV160W Firewall Issues

Hi all,

Has anyone faced some strange issues with this model of router? I'm running the latest version of code and the setup is pretty simple:

• 2 x /24 subnets with DHCP: 1 for wired and 1 for wireless;
• openvpn server;
• pppoe on WAN with NAT on the LAN;
• remote access enabled over https over a non standard port.

The problem I'm facing is that I'm not terribly sure the firewall is working at all. 

In firewall I'm basically allowing any to any and I created a similar access rule to be on the safe side.

Sometimes, the box is reachable sometimes it is not by ICMP and https, this is totally random. If I reload the router, it will be reachable for around 30 seconds, and then will stop accepting the traffic. Tried this with fw enabled/disabled as well.

The feeling I have is that the box is not listening to all my input in the firewall rules. 

I know the internet connection is stable so i'm ruling this out.

I'm thinking to downgrade the firmware and give it another go.

Any thoughts?

I have this model since few days and as i already posted here I have got strange issues with 5GHz network in my situation my router has huge pings between 23:00 and 12:00 on 5GHz if you are interested please have a look my posts. I am wondering if you still using it?

I had to reset it to default and since then it is performing as expected.

I did not have any problems.
