I'm trying to setup a simple port forward in the RV 120W Router, but can't seem to get it to work.
I created a custom service called RDP for TCP port 3389-3389. I added a Port Forward to Always Allow the service RDP, from any source IP to destination IP 192.168.50.23. I have tried it with "same as incoming port" and also specified port 3389 for forward from and to.
Firewall access rule is enabled and set to Inbound, Always Allow, RDP service, Any source & destination IP, DNAT IP is 192.168.50.23.
RDP is working to that IP from the LAN.
Any ideas?

There is an issue with the RV220W, and workaround is:
just use firewall rules and not port forwarding.
try that on your rv120w and see. make sure the last thing you do is re save the firewall rule.
hope it helps.

Anyone?
Are my settings correct? Should I try anything else?

I too have a RV220w that was just purchased and am having the same issues. Is there a firmware upgrade in the works that will address these issues?
Thanks,
Ron

I suggest you upgrade to 1.0.2.4 then do a factory reset. then use Firewall rules and NOT port forwarding as i stated in my previous post.

The 120 automatically defines port forwarding for an access rule. Is that the same on the 220. I also managed to get port forw to work as mentioned below by just modifying the destination port of the auto created port forward.

Hey man
I have followed the solution posted by you and it hasn't worked for me so far. Here is what i have done:
1 - created a custom service : ex: rdpin tcp on port 1189-11989
2 - Created a rule with that service as in : Inbound (WAN (Internet) > LAN (Local Network)) - Source IP (any) - Destination ip (192.168.x.x) and saved it
3 - Went to port forwarding rule and edited the rule created by firewall access rule by adding the port number 1189.
4 - Went back to access rule and saved from there one last time. but the port isn't open still..
Any suggestions???

Yes it does work.
RV 120W firmware 1.0.2.6
Even with the "buggy" firewall port forwarding I managed to forward e.g. Any.WAN.ip:2121 to specific.LAN.ip:21
Here's what I did: (inspired by previous posts)
1. Create a new service ftp2 TCP 2121-2121
2. Create a firewall access rule using this service to allow any WAN to DNAT IP specific.LAN.ip
3. Change only the "forward to port" to 21 in the automaticaly created port forwarding rule. Do not touch the "forward from port" : this one stays "Same as incoming port"
I did this successfully for 3 connections to my home NAS (http, ssh, ftp).
Hope somebody reads it, even when the thread has already been marked as closed
Hope it works for other people too.
