Problem with SRP527 and Static IP

Hi!

I have my SRP527 with dhcp and works fine.

Then i change the router to static ip 192.168.254.254.

Then i change the PC ethernet to:

IP: 192.168.254.100

SN MASK: 255.255.255.0

GW: 192.168.254.254

DNS: 192.168.254.254

After that i loose the WWW access.

I still can ping www.cisco.com, but cannot reach the web page.

Look's like the DNS Proxy stop working when i change the router from DHCP to Static IP.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi Jose,

Are you changing the network topology when you change address settings?  From the addressing you provide above, it looks like you are connecting the SRP behind another local router - is that correct?

Have you tried configuring a different public DNS server address (like 8.8.8.8 or something?)

Regards

Andy
