The entire "incoming log table" is just full of this!  It's all the same!  This is on the current firmware 4.0.4.02

Sep 20 12:49:35 2011KernelOut of memory: Killed process 5385 (iptables).
Sep 20 12:49:39 2011KernelOut of Memory: Kill process 5387 (iptables) score 591 and children.
Sep 20 12:49:39 2011KernelOut of memory: Killed process 5387 (iptables).
Sep 20 12:49:43 2011KernelOut of Memory: Kill process 5389 (iptables) score 591 and children.
Sep 20 12:49:43 2011KernelOut of memory: Killed process 5389 (iptables).
Sep 20 12:49:48 2011KernelOut of Memory: Kill process 5391 (iptables) score 591 and children.

I see no one has a clue.  Anyway, added a copy of the log file.  It's just streaming out errors.  Serious bug in the new firmware.  Anyway we can get this to someone who cares?

RM,

You’ll need to reset this device to factory default settings, sounds like something went wrong on the upgrade. I have never seen a RV model router display this message.

Hope this helps,

Jasbryan

Legit, but in my case it did not solve the issue. It reappeared again regularly (3-5 days). Obviously, restarting the router helps until the memory condition is again present.

My router firmware Version is : v4.2.3.14 (May 28 2020 18:18:40)

Logs are similar to the initial post. The infamous ipt_tcpmss_target: bad length (589 bytes) is 4 days away from the router starting to oom kill processes (Out of memory: Killed process ipt_tcpmss_target messages on RV042G V01 - Cisco Community)

See attached incoming log. Any other ideas?
