RV042G does not allow internet access for devices with Static IPs

We have 2 sites setup with RV042G routers both with Static WAN IPs with a VPN connection between the two.  For the most part the main system in the office appears to be working correctly providing internet access and internal network access without a problem.  However the remote site has a problem where any device that is configured with a static address will either not be allowed internet access or does not work unless we specify the DNS provided by the ISP.

We also cannot get a Client VPN to connect properly.  It always fails on the final stage of the connection.  The Client config is set on the router and we have tried using the certificates generated by the Router either with the Cisco VPN client software or with a Windows VPN config but neither has worked.

Any suggestions?

Hello,

I hope you are doing well. In case you still have the issue with this device regarding the VPN I would like to share with you a quick guide to set up the client-to-gateway VPN with this device using client software shrewsoft.  Attached file.

Regarding the issue you have no internet access the on the remote site we would like to know which is the IP configuration that you are getting automatically to see if you are getting the right gateway and DNS configuration.

In case you still need assistance please feel free to call us to 1-866-6061866 so you can open a case and we can investigate what exactly is going on.

Regards,
