RV042G: Import settings from RV042?

Can settings exported from a RV042 be imported in a RV042G and work correctly there?

I don't think that this is possible. Even if it is, I would recommend creating a new configuration for the RV042G due to hardware differences. There is a "RV0xx Configuration Migration Utility" to convert the config from early hardware versions of the RV042 to the latest version 3 hardware. It works fine in some cases and sometimes does not work well at all. It is always better to create the configuration from scratch.

Thank you Marty. I've decided to start from scratch (that is with a few screen shots from the old router).
