RV220W - cannot reorder 10+ rules

We are running an RV220W at the latest firmware (1.0.4.17). Due to certain internal activity we had to add a few firewall rules. Once we exceeded 10 firewall rules we could not reorder them. The reorder page showed the first 10 rules OK, but when you display the next screen (for rules 11 upward) the order is different and any changes do not appear persistant. Therefore you can change the order of the first 10 rules, but not from 11 onwards.

This is a serious issue for us as we were planning to expand our security with comprehensive rules.

Hi David, this is a known issue

CSCty01349 Issue—When the Access Rules table contains more than 10 rules, the reorder function

may not work.

Workaround—Delete and re-add the access rules in the desired order.

Interesting enough, I am no longer able to find this information on the 1.0.3.5 or the 1.0.4.17 release notes.

thanks Tom. Glad I did not miss this in the release notes. Do you know if there is a fix planned? This is a serious issue for a small business router.

Hi David, I did confirm the listed CDET is still open. As for plans when it is fixed, I don't know, I no longer work for Cisco so my inquires are a bit limited

thanks. I get a "Details not available at this time" message when I try to search for it.

Do you know how I can create an incident on the RV220W without a phone call? We are in Australia (Victoria) and phone calls are very inconvenient because of time zones etc.

thanks again,

David

David, if you'd like to email me your CCO and serial number, I can see if I can help you get a case up and request a call back or email communication. I know right now the US support is open to service Australia/New Zealand.
