rv340w do not respond to type DPD_R_U_THERE

Hi,

We have a rv340w (1.0.03.29).

Until recently we could vpn throught it using The Greenbow vpn software. It was stable and reliable. Suddenly it stops working. I start looking at it and I realized  that the router was not responding to the client vpn software query ''type DPD_R_U_THERE'' with a ''DPD_R_U_THERE_ACK'' and after 3 requests it disconnects. I have to say that the problem appears when the router was at the version 1.0.03.28. I thought that it could be a good thing to refresh it so I flash it to the version 1.0.03.29. But the problem remains.

I have other client with rv340 and rv340w routers so I try to connect to their network utilizing the same laptop with the same vpn software client just to see if I can reproduce the problem. Everything worked fine at my other clients place. And I have exactly the same setup, the same type of vpn, having used the same template for all my clients who needed vpn access.

Idea would be appreciate!

-- Connection report to the other routers of my other clients (rv340 and rv 340w) which shows that the connection is successful and that the routers respond to requests from the vpn client software. So for me, it shows that it is not a problem of vpn configuration on the router, (I use the same template for every router) not a problem of ISP, (I try throught 3 ), and not a problem of configuration on the client side, neither hardware.

Like I was saying it is not that I do not know how to configure the rv340 series, I have 7 of them at different place and all my clients use them for vpn and everything  is working fine. But I have one rv340w that refuses to do that :

the vpn client :   SEND Informational [HASH] [NOTIFY] type DPD_R_U_THERE

and the vpn client is supposed to receive from the the router :  RECV Informational [HASH] [NOTIFY] type DPD_R_U_THERE_ACK

I connect succesfully via vpn to all my other rv and they all respond but that one is not!

Any other idea ? Tx

I connect succesfully via vpn to all my other rv and they all respond but that one is not!   <-- the one not working, I will reset to factory and reconfigure and test and also compare working vs not working what is the different ISP / net connection / is the end user connection issue so on.

if that URL is not helpful, - May be worth contacting SMB TAC.

If you have the dpd setting enabled on the router side, then something isn't right and I would try a different firmware version as it might have broke when fixing something else.  Otherwise, I would also look at other options that you may have set and check your ha times.  You can also try disabling dpd in the greenbow client.
