slow internet speed

We are experiencing slow internet connection.  

RVS4000 V2

We have Charter Internet and have plugged in directly to the modem.

Up speed is 60+ and down is 4+   

However, when checking speed in the network, up is 14 and down is 4.

Our modem is no longer supported by Cisco.  Can anyone help?

Hello Frankemuth Travel,

For a test you could disable IPS on the RVS4000 router to see if you get the close to the expected results.

Look for Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) to understand the function of this security feature.

After that it will come down to if you have additional Access Control Lists (ACLs), or any other processing that may be causing the RVS4000 to throttle traffic.
