C1111-8PLTE / LTE Troubles

solarwinds123
Community Member

I'll keep this brief as possible; I'm having trouble bring up my LTE / Cell0/2/0 connection on my C1111-8PLTE.

I can get the connection up with nearly no action by me on a fresh start (no startup-config). After adding a static route, I can pass traffic in/out the LTE connection. Once I reboot, Cell0/2/0 connection does not come back up with a valid IP.

Router#erase startup-config

I have also attempted to use a similar config depicted when searching google which pretty much is.... :

The Cell0/2/0 Interface comes up, but shows as (Spoofing), and never obtains an IP, even after a reboot:

Hello,

post the full non working running configuration, as it is difficult to see what you actually have configured.

The line

access-list 1 permit ip any

alone would not allow external access.

Make sure the config look something like below:

Thank you, this gave me what I needed to get this working.

This is what I was missing:

Router#conf t

Router(config)#
Router(config)#dialer-list 1 protocol ip permit
Router(config)#interface Cellular0/2/0
Router(config-if)# dialer in-band
Router(config-if)# dialer-group 1
Router(config-if)# pulse-time 1
Router(config-if)#end

Hello,

can you post the working running configuration for reference ?

Absolutely. Keep in mind this config is lacking a LAN port and NAT statements... It's ultra basic and allowing for only access out to the internet for testing:

Router#
Router#show run

Hello

Try appending an basic lte profile with a APN name and unlocking the sim, these would be supplied by your ISP

cellular unit lte sim unlock xxxx
controller Cellular 0/2/0
profile id 1 apn xxxx

interface Cellular 0/2/0
ip address negotiated
dialer in-band
dialer-group 1
ip nat outside

exit

int x/x
Description Lan
ip nat inside
ip address x.x.x.x y.y.y.yy

dialer-list 1 protocol ip permit
access-list 10 permit x.x.x.x y.y.y.y.y <lan facing subnet
ip nat inside source-list 10 interface Cellular0/2/0

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 Cellular0/2/0
