Why you looking to upgrade from command level  ? is this vEdge managed by Vmanage ? why not use vManage to upgrade ?

Hi,

did you added file to local disk? If yes, use below command:

request software install-image [file-name]

Don't forget to activate after "request software activate now [version]" command.

file show - command is for text files (alternative for cat in vshell), use file list command.

HTH,

SAME PROBLEM

no vManage .getting this message ERROR: install: Kernel image not found

satyase_0-1706590785674.png

A colleague had the same error message when trying to upgrade a ISR-1100-6G (Gnutella), the issue was that the incorrect Viptela OS image was being used, is easy to mistake the vEdge1000 with the ISR-1100-6G inside the cisco software download center as the GNutellas images are linked with the vBond upgrade images.
