Hello,

what you are seeing is the NCP phase of PPP for IPv6 as described in the link below.

https://sites.google.com/site/amitsciscozone/home/ppp/ipv6-ipv4-over-ppp

Since you don't have IPv6 enabled on your router, it comes down to guessing where that originates.

It could come from a (Windows) client trying to establish an L2TP connection to the router, as descriibed in the link below:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/dial-access/virtual-private-dialup-network-vpdn/200450-Setting-up-L2TP-Tunnel-between-a-Windows.html

Hello gpauwen

So this must be coming from my isp correct?

I mean i use a dynamic ip address and it has changed many times but this log is always there so

What is connected to the 1921 on your side ?

Hi C.Prevezanos,

Your ISP is sending CONFREQ for IPV6CP. But ipv6 is not enabled on your router hence it is sending PROTREJ (Protocol Rejection) towards ISP.

008081: *Nov 23 07:57:44.742 UTC: Vi2 IPV6CP: I CONFREQ [UNKNOWN] id 202 len 14

008083: *Nov 23 07:57:44.742 UTC: Vi2 LCP: O PROTREJ [Open] id 203 len 20 protocol IPV6CP (0x01CA0010010ADA67D9FFFE401FC3)

>enable "ipv6 unicast-routing" on your router.

>enable "ipv6 address autoconfig" or any other mechanism to enable ipv6 on your dialer interface.

Please rate if it helps.
