4331 Router Performace booster licence issue

Hi,

I have a router 4331 and we bought a performance booster license that will enable 1 Gig through put on WAN - LAN.

Currently route is running IOS XE13.3 and will need to be upgraded to Fuji XE16.9. (Is this correct?)

Also i read on one of the portal that ROMMON needs upgrading to 15.2? (Is this correct)

Can someone please let me have some directions on how to carry out the above upgrade of IOS and ROOMON and if i have to do anything else as well to achive the Gig throughput.

1. Copy the IOS into the bootflash: of the router (Command: copy tftp://<TFTP IP address>/IOS_filename.bin bootflash:)
2. Copy the ROMMON file into the bootflash: of the router.
3. Change the boot variable string so the router will boot the new firmware.
4. Save the config.
5. Upgrade the ROMMON - Command: upgrade rom file bootflash:ROMMON_filename.pkg all

Do we have to upgrade the ROMMON for Performace boost licence?

Hello CK,

you need to upgrade the ROMMON in order to be able to load the new IOS XE image.

Later you can install the desired license(s) on the new IOS XE version.
