An ASR should have many more features not available on a 4500X. You lose access to those, but if you don't need them, then the 4500X should be fine for you.
An example of features found on an ASR, but not found on a 4500X, would be many of an ASR's QoS features. An example of another ASR feature, not found on a 4500X, support for media other than Ethernet.
