6500 ios upgrade memory requirement

Hi Suhail,

Please have a look into the link below:

251658240 bytes available (260448256 bytes used)

Out of 512 MB of memory 260 MB has been utilized by 2 IOS and 4 Crashinfo file and few by Sea_log.

2) What is the IOS which you want to upgrade on to? The 512 means that the firmware atleast require this much memory to be available on the Sup to run the firmware it doesnt mean that 512 should be free.

3) I belive you are trying to s72033-ipservicesk9-vz.122-33.SXI10.bin? If yes then you can go ahead and boot this firwmare which will run fine and after it sucessfully booted you can remove the old fimrware which is available on the disk/flash.

Please find below link which gives more on the memory related on different sup:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps5718/ps708/qa_c67_457347.html

Kindly revert back for any clarification.

Regards

Inayath
