Hi all,
We have a 7206 router with ATM DS3 card (PA-A6-T3) inserted in in it. The ATM PVC interface was down:
AT3/0 up up
AT3/0.101 down down
I tried to shut & unshut the interface:
7206(config)#int ATM3/0
7206(config-if)#shut
7206(config-if)#exit
7206(config)#
But as soon as I shut the port there were these logs:
May 5 20:02:57 GMT: %PA-3-DEACTIVATED: port adapter in bay [3] powered off.
May 5 20:02:57 GMT: %ENTITY_ALARM-6-INFO: ASSERT CRITICAL PA Slot 3 Active Card Removed OIR Alarm
May 5 20:02:57 GMT: %ATMPA-3-INITFAIL: ATMPA (bay 3), Init Failed at ../pas/if_pas_atmdx.c - line 3863 -Process= "Virtual Exec", ipl= 0, pid= 244 -Traceback= 0x61335CC0 0x601D31A4 0x601D331C 0x601E54DC 0x601C885C 0x601C9844 0x601DA930 0x6033B0F0 0x6033AB5C 0x60332FEC 0x61379264 0x61397DE0 0x6266B460 0x6266B444
May 5 20:02:58 GMT: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface ATM3/0, changed state to down
Now I am no more seeing that ATM card in "Sh ip int brief" & "sh inv". Not able to get into that interface configuration mode. Anybody can help me out please?

May be...
- bug in IOS
- hardware failure
- you do not have enough points to use high-speed ATM interface
- something else...
What does your router say in sh ver and sh inventory after rebooting?

Hi Sergey Fer,
I did not get permission to reboot the router. Need to get a downtime window.
Will reboot & paste the logs here.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Not at all
While waiting for your maintenace time-slot could you send your current show version and show inventory?

The link came up after we pulled out the card & reseated it.
Thanks for all your suggestion.
