802.1Q-in-Q vlan tag termination via L2 interface using L3 SVI

Does anybody happen to know if you can terminate a double-tagged frame using an SVI, instead of a physical interface using sub-interfaces?

Everything I read on double-tag frame termination or q-in-q vlan tag termination has it terminated to some SPA or SIP adapter on a 7600 or ASR platform, which is fine, but I have circuits that I need to do double-tag termination with, that transport over L2 trunk links directly off the PE router, that also carry Metro-E 802.1Q tunneled traffic, so I can't just terminate those trunk links to an L3 interface.

In short, I need to be able to send certain Vlans/Tunneled Vlans on, that ingress our L2 trunk links, while terminating other vlans via a double-tagged frame on the same router? Is this possible or does it strictly have to terminate to an physical L3 interface to support double-tag termination?

I apprecaite the help!
