8P PRI turns up only 5P

Hi all,

I have an 8 Port PRI (PA-MC-8TE1) that we would like to use all 8 ports for backup. Card is installed in a 7206VXR with the I/O 2FE and NPE-400. Memory is 512M and IOS is 12.3-13a.

When I configure the ports (controllers) with the "pri-group timeslots 1-24" command, I get "%Insufficient resources to create pri-group - it has been removed" and the corresponding interface is not created.

I have done a bug search and come up empty handed. We have asked our support partner to open a TAC case, but it's been a week and we've not heard back.

Anyone have any ideas why I can't get the last 3 controllers and ports to configure up? I mean, if this box isn't capable, then what would be?

Never mind. I figured it out myself.

You cannot have more than 128 channels in a pri-group.

I found it in a reference to the E1 (PA-MC-8E1) documentation and it appears to apply to the T1 version as well.
