Hi,

Have several sites and all seems to be up and running,

except one that is site  B...same configuration as others

it has intermittent disconnection on VPN,as the ASDL port of the router does not work

(interface BVI1 is down even if u try to bring it up still down).

To bypass the problem we installed a working huawei adsl modem before the router,

the solution overcome the problem

and its working BUT It seems that the modem get stuck and that's  users get disconnected.

The solution so far has been to restart the modem but now we are tired on restarting

My question is ,adsl modem installation before router could be a

problem and need to find a new cisco router with working adsl port?

                            remote sites

HQ_MPLS cisco router-------->cisco router 1801 site A

                    -------->cisco router 1801 site B

kindly help me out

joseph

Hello,

Could you send the following ADSL parameters:

speed (up/down)

SNR (up/down)

attenuation (up/down)

I think the issue is in your ADSL connection that is not stable.

Regards.

Hello Antonio

thx for reply

How to get ?

speed (up/down) ?

SNR (up/down) ?

attenuation (up/down) ?

if any command or any means to extract that details pls? i would appreciate to get n will send u

thx

J

If you have the cisco router, try

show controller dsl x/x

where x/x is the ATM interface. Also if you have log enable do a "show log" a post it.

If you have the huawei adsl modem perhaps it has a little web server to manage it. Try to connect it

and look in some option about ADSL status/parameters.

Regards.
