I want to buy a cisco 3750 24p 10/100 to create 4 VLANs in a small enterprise. Then I want to connect each VLAN to a cisco 877 adsl router (4 ethernet ports), so it can do routing between VLANs and provide them internet access.
Am I doing all right? Has someone done something similar?
Thanks in advance.
PS: I'll skip doing routing in the 3750 because the enhanced image is very expensive.
jose, the 3750 will route (at wire speed) just fine with the standard image. The enhanced image just adds more routing protocols and other things that doesn't seem you may need. Just configure one address per virtual interface on the 3750. Connect the 877 to one of these VLAN or create a new one. Make sure the 877 via static or dynamic routing knows about other subnets too.
