I am trying to setup an alias command for the noc team using different privilege levels as well. I am trying to setting up an alias to only allow access to a serial interface but not to any other interfaces.

The alias works when i in priv 15, but i cannot get it to work on a lower privilege.

alias configure serint interface serial0/0.1

privilege interface level 2 serint

privilege configure level 2 alias serint

privilege exec level 2 configure

privilege exec level 2 configure t

AFAIK for configuring any interface u need to be there with privlilege level 15 otherwise i dont think its possible.

There were few queries earlier also in netpro inline with privilege levels ..would also suggest to search out them here ..
