AS5300 using as a leased line

Hello,

I have an AS5300 router. I want to use one of the router's e1 ports for leased line.

I can't see any problem with this but it doesn't work. The line protocol

is down... What could be the problem? I'm able to see the loop at the far end so

the line seems to be ok.

The major problem here is that your 5300 is treating the connection as a channelized circuit while the remote end is treating it as a straight (unchannelized) data circuit.

Thanks for your reply. That is true. But I have plenty

other routers which works quite the same way. Those are c3640 routers and I'm using NM-2CE1U= controllers

at my end and plain wic-1t at the customers' end

for the leased line connection. So the main

difference is that the e1 ports in the AS5300 are

channelized but the NM-2CE1U= ports are unchannelized? I don't think so. Here is a part

from a sh controll e1 0/1 command from a c3640:

E1 0/1 is up.

Applique type is Channelized E1 - unbalanced

No alarms detected.

let me answer my own question, maybe somebody else

would run into the same issue in the future.

It seems that it was an ios bug in c5300-is-mz.121-4a.bin ios. I did an upgrade to

c5300-is-mz.121-27b.bin and everything works fine.
