ASR 1001HX and 1002HX port license?

Hi Sir,

I need eight 1G port and enght 10G port in the ASR 1001HX (or in the 1002HX).

How many port license should I buy?

The Cisco ASR 1001-HX Router has eight 1GE SFP ports in Bay 0 and eight 1GE SFP or 10GE SFP+ ports in Bay 1 . By default, four ports in Bay 0 and four ports in Bay 1 can be enabled without a license (ports 0 through 3). The remaining ports can be enabled in pairs (ports 4 and 5; and ports 6 and 7) through licenses.

Hi,

In that case do you have to purchase 1x  FLSA1-HX-2X10GE or 2x  FLSA1-HX-2X10GE in order to activate the remaining x4 10GE PORTS?

I am looking for the document for the cisco 1002-HX router series, that shows

all of the commands needed to install additional port licenses.

I was told that the "license install" command would be used.

I've looked through the 1002-hx router hardware installation guide, and the ASR 1000 Series

IOS XE Fuji 16.8.x software configuration guide. I did searches on "license install" and also "license"

and I cannot find these commands listed ANYWHERE in either guide.

Can someone post a link to the document that describes how to install additional port licenses

in the 1002-HX series ASR router?  Thanks.

If i needed total of 14 1g SFP ports in ASR1002HX. Do i need to license 10g ports too? because 1g licenses max is TY 2 for 2 ports. Basically, 4 licenses ports. Do i need to enable 10g license port if i needed more 1G ports?

Note: Built-in 10-GB ports cannot be reduced to 1-GB speed.

FYI: the documentation on the ASRs is lackluster.
