I have a question here,

Do I need to restart the router after a license activation???

Can´t find any information on the Hardware-Installation document

Hello,

yes, you typically need to reload the router after activating the license.

When you do a:

show license

it should give you a line similar to the one below:

Next reload license Level: ipservices

So in this example, ipservices will run after the reload.

But even if it's just for a 2x1GB port license??,

I aggree with you when you upgrade from ipbase to ipservices or advservices, but from ports also?

Sorry, my bad.

To activate the port licenses, all you have to do is unshut 'no shut' the interface the license is for...
