Re: asr Vs isr routers

Are they also proposing that you buy this high end router from them?

I suggest that you consult this link below for the features of the ASR 1004:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps9437/index.html

See this link for model comparisons

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps9343/prod_models_comparison.html

One of the major differences is the speed. The ASR has a throughput of up to 20G. I have read some posts stating that a 3825 only has a throughput of 1G in comparison.

Re: asr Vs isr routers

Hi JAtin,

The Cisco ASR 1002 Fixed Router - delivered performance throughput values greater than the target positioning bandwidth requirements while integrated services features were activated.

And branches with greater bandwidth requirements would use 3925E, 3945E or an ASR 1002.

Please find the attached pdf for the performance lab test between ISR and ASR routers for more information.
