Hi, the command "platform hardware throughput level 5000000" is not having any effect at all, theres no message about reloading to enable the new throughput or anything. The command "show running-config" still shows "platform hardware throughput level 2500000".
Are we doing something wrong? Does this have to be done through serial console? We are using SSH to manage the router.

#show platform hardware throughput level
platform hardware throughput level XXXXXXXX (XXX is 5GB)
save and reload
and check after reload :

Quick question when you issue the command :
router0(config)#platform hardware throughput level 5000000
Do you get EULA to accept?
04-20-2022 05:09 PM
Yes, I had accepted the EULA when I first tried to enable 5gbps.
router0#show license EULA

If you already done once, and it expirted ? then you need to buy License, or contact License@cisco.com (they also have bot chat, very quick to help you)

check the license you need to make throughput be 5.
04-20-2022 05:31 PM
platform hardware throughput level {10000 | 25000 | 50000 | eval-only}<- check eval only keyword

Throughput is in evaluation and probably expired.
The feature is not, yet, enabled by PAK.

Ok, I enabled terminal monitor to see if there was any warnings and I get this:
router0#terminal monitor
router0#conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
router0(config)#platform hardware throughput level 5000000
*Jan 2 14:03:33.311: %IOSXE_THROUGHPUT-3-INVALID_CONFIG: No valid license found for the configured throughput level: 5000000 kbps
*Jan 2 14:03:33.311: %IOSXE_THROUGHPUT-3-CONF_FAILED: Configuration failed. Installed license does not support the throughput level. Please install the valid license
*Jan 2 14:03:33.312: %LICENSE-1-REQUEST_FAILED: License request for feature throughput 1.0 failed. UDI=ASR1001:xxxxxxxxxxxx
Does this mean the 5Gbps throughput was used as eval, expired, and then no longer can be used as eval again?

Ok, I will try downgrading IOS as described in the workaround and then upgrading again.
04-24-2022 11:39 AM
Downgrading and then clearing all configs allowed me to select 5Gbps throughput again.
What a strange problem.

This error message means the PAK installed is NOT for throughput.
Maybe someone provided the SN of the wrong chassis.

Yes and I send to you the license You need to get 5Gbps.
