Trying to upgrade ASR1002-RP1 rommon with no success.
Installed IOS ADVENTERPRISEK9-M), Version 15.5(3)S10,

Now installed 16.3(2r)

ROMmon still stay 16.3(2r),

Also try to upbgade step by step with hw-module slot reload - no effect.

Is there an issue ?

What is the intention of using 17.3.1r?

I recently deployed an ASR-1002 (RP1) and the router is running on 3.16.10 (Install Mode) but I refused to upgrade the ROMMON. The ROMMON is currently on 16.3.2r.

I've always run a lates soft on my deployments , to get an actual fixes. That's why.

There was no trouble in a few past upgrades on that device.

Now I'm stuck cause can't find any reason , why upgrade falls.

No boot errors , no log warnings , can't find any restrictions for upgrading RP1 platform, especially it's available for download in ASR1K download section, just like 16.3(2r)

Just one difference - is SPA in 17.3.1 name - maybe that's a key ?

The reason why I did not upgrade to 17.3.1r is because I have seen people run into problems.
My recommendation is to just stay with 16.3.(2r) and it will be fine.
