Can someone tell me what SIP/SPA/EPA/whatever is needed to connect an ASR1009-X using 40-gig Ethernet? Thanks.

Correct. The SPA slides into the SIP and the SIP slides into the chassis.

What is meant by "breakout cable"? Is that a separate component?
