Hi, imagine I need to execute the following task:
a)Using a policy-map, assign video traffic a DSCP 56.
b) Now define a policer for the video traffic with rate of 3M and a burst size of 1M.
My question is:
In order to enter the "bc" value in the router as shown below, do I need to divide the given burst size of 1M by 8 since that is in bytes?
That would be bc = 125000.
Or bc = 1000000 in this case?
Router(config-pmap-c)#police 3000000 bc ?
<1000-512000000> Burst bytes
conform-action action when rate is less than conform burst
pir Peak Information Rate
<cr>
Router(config-pmap-c)#police 3000000 bc
