Hi
I'm looking for a basic model cisco router with 2 x RJ45 100Mbps ethernet ports to use for the WAN side on an unmanaged fibre link. The router will just need to be setup with the most basic config i.e. WAN ip on one port and our public IP on the other port with everything routed.
I currently have my own 871 doing this job, but I want it back home and it is overspecced for this use.
Can anyone recommend a suitable low spec router?
Thanks
Cammy

You can use a 851, or preferrably 861. Less than that are not true Cisco routers.
