BGP Convergence issues

Hello,

Is there a way to avoid the following?

We peer to three seperate ISPs. We recieve full BGP tables from all three.

When we see an issue with one of the providers we do a controlled shutdown of the bgp session from our end. The thing is, the ISP that we have shut down the session to appears to still be advertising our routes.

How would we stop this? Or is there any config "ie tracking etc" that the ISP could apply to thier side?

Thanks

Hello,

When you bring the BGP peering with the ISP, your routes should be withdrawn quickly. If it does not happen, then I guess the ISP is statically

advertising your routes. Anyway you should call the ISP, they can do someting about this.

Regards,

Herve
