BGP multihomed 2 ISPs, One won't run BGP

Hi all!

We currently have several links (XDSL) to one provider with static routes and several IP blocks provided. We are getting an E10 from a different provider ; we are planning on getting our own address space and running BGP. The first provider won't run BGP...

I was wondering if by adding a router between the first provider and us, I could somewhat resolve the issue:

     - Static routes on provider side

     - BGP on our side with private ASN

Is this feasible ? Any drawbacks to that method?

Thank you all!

In this case, one issue could come across about the different outgoing and incoming interfaces. If you own your own address space(minimum /24 pool) in that case static SP need to advertise that pool, so while traffic comes form internet might have two but for outgoing traffic from your cloud might have one path.
