Hi Vishal,

Since you dont have BGP and cannot run IGP with ISP, static floating routes would be an option.  So if one ISP line goes down, it would use the other one.

Dear Sudeep,

Thanks for the reply.. Can you guide me through the configuraion?

Hi,

Configure a default route by issuing the command "ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 ".  AD (administrative distance) should be greater than the actual route.  For eg;

config)# ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.0.12.2  <<< actual

config)# ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.0.13.3 250   <<< floating route with higher AD

Thanks,

Sudeep

Dear Sudeep,

Can it be configured with a router of 2800 series which has two fast ethernet, one bri and two serial interfaces?

If yes, please guide me

The configuration suggested by Sudeep will work only when the first hop fails, for a more better solution please follow the below configuration suggested by Cisco :
