Booster Performance License for 4320

Hello there we ordering boost performance trial license. And the license state was not in use after reboot.

At first install i was wrong because my image is older 16.03.07 and then i upgrade my image to newer fuji 16.09.05

and the license installation was successful

 

license install bootflash:booster.performance.lic

The current throughput level is unthrottled

 

I thought it was good and after reboot the license supposed to be activated. But after reboot the show license feature is still not enabled for boster performance in show running-config | include throughput this command is gone platform hardware throughput level boost.

 

Is there anything im missing or not aware of? Please kindly help.

Was the router rebooted after the license was applied?

yes it was, and it's still not enabled.

The router is running 16.9.X?
This means CSL (Cisco Smart License).

I installed it .lic file through command. Should i do it with smart? but i don't know how to transfer this to smart.

Send an email to the Licensing Team and they'll guide you through.

I don't have tac so they will not help.

Licensing team is not TAC.
Think of going to a fancy country club.
You drive up to the driveway, the valet greets you and takes your car keys. You get to the front door and this person asks to see your country club membership. That's the Licensing Team.
If the Licensing Team sees your dues are paid, you go inside. That's TAC.
Send them an email and they'll help you configuring CSL.

yes i know i already emailed them and they throw me to tac and because i don't have tac license so .... you know. it'll not be proceed.

Email them again because this is not how it is suppose to work. Escalate to their supervisor if you need to.

This is what they sent "As much I want to route the case to TAC for you to get support, we really need an active contract that supports the product in question. If it’s just acquiring or generating the licenses, I can definitely route the case to the Licensing team but the concern at hand is something that is handled by our Engineers."
