Hi all,

this command was executed on a cisco 6500 and i got the output

6500#sh boot

BOOT variable = disk0:s72033-advipservicesk9_wan-mz.122-18.SXF6.bin,1;sup-bootflash:s72033-pk9sv-mz.122-17d.SXB10.bin,1;

CONFIG_FILE variable =,

How can i get the same result on a Cisco 3845. I need to see what the boot variable is set to, Show boot command does not work.

There is no command to show that.

You have to examine the config file for boot commands.

Paolo's right. The sh boot is only valid for switches and ASA (I think). For routers, you have to look at the "boot-start-marker" section. If no entry then the appliance will boot the first .bin image from the top.

Hope this helps.

As the others have noted, there isn't an explicit command for a router, however if boot infomation is in the config file, you might try:

show config (or run) | include boot
