Hi,
We have a customer that needs faster internet but it isnt availble at his location. so my idea was 2 bundle 2 ADSL lines for higher up and download speed. I am planning to use a Cisco 1941 with 2 EHWIC slots. Maybe i am totally wrong and i should use a other router? all advice is welcome.
Now my qeustion is, how do i configure this on the router? Do i do it with load balancing or should i bundle the two interfaces together somehow? I am experienced with configuring cisco routers but i have never done this. Can someone provide me with a configuration example? or a website with some good information, because i can't find one. All other advice on how to achieve this is welcome too.
Thanks in advance
Bart

This is often asked and easily found with a search.
You cannot configure DSL circuits as in the MLPPP example above, that has erroneously been given. That is because DSL ISP will not support MLPPP, just ask them to confirm.
The only possibility is to load balance, according to this example:

No.Single session speed will stay the same, and there is no thing on earth that can change that.
Aggregate traffic may peak to the sum of circuits

The 1941 should be absolutely ok with 2 DSL-lines.
You cant' do any multilink unless the provider will support that. One way to use these two lines could be Performance-Routing:

Hi karsten thanks for your reply
So lets say my isp does support multilink, do i still have to use pfr? Or do i have to use pfr if they dont support multilink?
But the main qeustion is in both cases will this get me more bandwith? In this case they theoratically have 4mb/s down and 1mb/s up (adsl) if i choose to use pfr will this double? Or am i misunderstanding the theory of pfr?
Thanks

Bart,
This is my config for 6xT1's using an ASR1001, the ASR1001 is overkill for 2 DSL lines. Don't use Performance-Routing sorry I can't help with that but maybe someone else can.

Hi kenneth thanks for your reply
So the only thing you have configured are th WAN interfaces? With this i mean, arent there any other things to configure to achieve my goal?
In your case you have 6 times more bandwith with the config you posted?
Thanks

Hi paolo, thanks for your reply
Thanks for clearing things up, just for confirmation. If i configure nat load balancing my theoratical speed of 4mb/s will double to 8? I need a simple conformation so i can use this topic as a discussion point with my collegeus.
Thanks!
