Can I connect Integrated FastEthernet Ports on Cisco 2921/k9 to ISP

I am getting the new Cisco 2921/K9 router, which comes by default with 3 Integrated 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports.

I have Comcast Cable as the ISP, so can I connect the ISP RJ45 Copper cable directly to one of the integrated ports or do I have to buy another WAN Interface Cards for the ISP.

Any information will be appreciated.

Hi ikram,

Im not really familiar with your isp, but as long as the cable interface that come from the isp is rj45 then you can plug in that cable to your router. Dont forget that you need to do some configuration on the router such as, ip addressing, default routing, and nat.

The ISP is handing off the RJ45 with 200 Mbps, is that ok to connect to the Integrated Fast Ethernet Ports which can use 1000 MBps.

If youre refering to the gigabit ethernet interface, then yes you can do that.
