Hi, folks!

We have 7507 with two RSP16 and two CIPs.

After I change IOS of our 7507, from (RSP-JSV-M) Version 12.1(13)E1 to 123(11)T3, with sh run, we looked that our CIPs disappeared.

The cfg of CIPs are in startup-config.

After the change of IOS and did a reload or after I did turn off an turn on, does not return to running- config. The CIP cfg only return to cfg with the old IOS.

I need to change the IOS because I would like to use GLBP feature.

Exist any document/paper with method to change IOS of 7507 with CIP.

What was my mistake?

thanks,

Renato

Hi Renato,

When you went to IOS 12.3(11)T3, did you also upgrade the CIP microcode to a 28-xx version. If not, this may be the problem. The latest available is 28-20. You can get it here:

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/cip122T

When you FTP it ti flash, it will expandd into the different files. Then you will need to add the following to the config:

microcode CIP flash slot0:cip28-20

microcode reload

Of course, the first statement must match where you put the microcode. Slot0, Slot1, etc...

Best regards,

Jim
