Cisco 1801 ADSL Loopback

Hello,

I was just wondering, what the Loopback LED does when it is on. Also, I have not been able to get this LED to turn on. Please can you tell me how I can get this working.

Also, is the VPN capability only included if I upgrade to another version of IOS. I am currently on the broadband-mz version 150-1. M4.bin

Hi,

From the installation guide here is the explanation for LED light

LPBK	Steady green—Router DSL interface is in loopback mode. Off—Router DSL interface is operating in normal mode.

For VPN/Security, you may need a new IOS with that feature set

Hello,

How do I take advantage of the using this loopback feature because i have set Dialer0 to loopback however, this does not seem to be working - I get no light up after setting this option.
