Hello,
I am curious if there is a way to start a new config on Cisco 1921 router. Is erasing the startup-config and reloading the only way todo this. Thanks,
Dave C

Hello
No you have other alternatives-
you could tftp/usb a config file into the rtrs flash and copy it to the running or startup configuration with a configure replace command
or
you can save the present running configuration to the rtrs flash as a .txt file and then write erase the rtr - reload it and start a new configuration from scratch and if you want to reload the “old” saved configuration again you can reload it from flash using the same command.
