Hi everyone.
I recently bought 3 Cisco 1921 routers that I'll be using in my homelab in order to get my CCNA certification. All 3 routers came with a VWIC3-2MFT-T1/E1 interface cards. However it appears that the interface card is not being detected on one of the routers.
When I do show ip interface brief on R1 this is the result
Interface IP-Address OK? Method Status Protocol
Embedded-Service-Engine0/0 unassigned YES NVRAM administratively down down
GigabitEthernet0/0 10.0.0.9 YES DHCP up up
GigabitEthernet0/1 unassigned YES NVRAM administratively down down
Async0/1/0 unassigned YES unset down down
But when I do a show ip interface brief on R2 and R3 I receive a different result:
Interface IP-Address OK? Method Status Protocol
Embedded-Service-Engine0/0 unassigned YES NVRAM administratively down down
GigabitEthernet0/0 10.0.0.9 YES DHCP up up
GigabitEthernet0/1 unassigned YES NVRAM administratively down down
Serial0/0/0:0 unassigned YES unset down down
Serial0/0/1:0 unassigned YES unset down down
Funny thing is that when I do show inventory on R1 I see:
NAME: "CISCO1921/K9", DESCR: "CISCO1921/K9 chassis, Hw Serial#: FJC2136L221, Hw Revision: 1.0"
PID: CISCO1921/K9 , VID: V05 , SN: FJC2136L221
NAME: "VWIC3-2MFT-T1/E1 - 2-Port RJ-48 Multiflex Trunk - T1/E1 on Slot 0 SubSlot 0", DESCR: "VWIC3-2MFT-T1/E1 - 2-Port RJ-48 Multiflex Trunk - T1/E1"
PID: VWIC3-2MFT-T1/E1 , VID: V01 , SN: FOC15400JM6
NAME: "WAN Interface Card - One Port Analog Modem(Version 2) on Slot 0 SubSlot 1 ", DESCR: "WAN Interface Card - One Port Analog Modem(Version 2)"
PID: WIC-1AM-V2 , VID: V02 , SN: FOC144869WU
Is there something that I need to do in order to make the interface appear in the list?
Your help would be greatly appreciated

going by memory but look for the command "card type" in the config. You'll need that for the interfaces on the WIC to show up as serial interfaces.
