I've got a reasonably simple network. All one subnet. 1 Firewall (Cisco ASA 5505), 2 Windows 2008 servers with active directory. All users are sent through to the firewall (10.0.0.1). Unlimited license on the ASA - about 600 people in the building.
Problem is, we are ocassionally experiencing downtime (only on internet traffic). The internal network is always fine.
I'm wondering if either the ASA 5505 is getting old and just dropping or if there is something set wrong on the Cisco 2600 sg switches. I am not seeing any problems with logs on the ASA.
Even when the internet drops (no ping to 10.0.0.1) , there are still a few users that can access it. That is what has me wondering on the switch configs.
The internet is a dedicated 100mg xo communications line. .
All of this equipment has been in place and running pretty smoothly for a couple of years.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Hello,
the first thing that comes to mind is simply uptime. What was the last time to reboot/reload the switch ? That said, can you post the config ? Maybe we can spot something...

Thanks for responding. Here is the config from the Cisco ASA 5505.

I have rebooted the ASA 3 or 4 times today. A few clients have access, but most of the building is unable to access the internet.

Hello,
sorry for the misunderstanding, I meant the switch configuration. And the switch uptime...

Hello,
try and change the timeout values to:
timeout conn 8:00:00 half-closed 8:00:00 udp 0:10:00 icmp 0:00:02
11-02-2017 04:39 AM
Thanks,
I made the change. We'll see if it helps.
