Hello everyone,
We are switching over to TWC Ethernet handoff from T1 circuit at our school. We are using a Cisco Router 2611mx with two f0/0 - f0/1 interface ports.
Our NAT is being done on our Cisco PIX506 and is on the inside of our router. The ISP has given us 13 public address. My question is can we still keep our current setup with this new Ethernet handoff circuit?
I have configured the following on our router that is connected to TWC switch.
CISCO 2611MX ROUTER:
config - t : interface f0/0 ip address 27.112.xx.82 255.255.255.2xx
config - t : no shutdown
outside port to ISP...
With this is set up on the outside port I can't ping anything for whatever reason.
tried ping 8.8.8.8 no response... however I can ping the TWC device with is 27.112.xx.81.
I am missing something? The ISP tech plug-in his laptop with the same IP address was able to connect internet.
TWC Ethenet Port: 27.122.xx.81
CISCO 2611MX ROUTER "outside" Port: 27.112.xx.82
CISCO PIX506 "outside" Port: 27.112.xx.66
CISCO PIX506 "inside" Port 192.168.10.1
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
